Lynn Dickey Biography

Clifford Lynn Dickey, born October 19, 1949, played quarterback in the NFL for 15 seasons, primarily with the Green Bay Packers. He played college football for the Kansas State Wildcats and was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the third round of the 1971 NFL draft. Dickey was recruited to play college football at Kansas State University. After his senior year in 1970, he finished tenth in Heisman Trophy voting and was named MVP of the North–South Shrine Game. He started ten games with the Oilers, including their only win of the 1973 season. Dickey led the Packers to the 16-team playoffs during the strike-shortened 1982 NFL season. In 1983, he helped the Packers' offense score a then-team record 429 points.
