Luis Robert Biography

Luis Robert Jr. was born on August 3, 1997, and is a Cuban-born professional baseball center fielder who has played in Major League Baseball. He has played for the Chicago White Sox during his MLB career. Robert made his MLB debut in 2020 after signing with the organization. In November 2016, he defected from Cuba to pursue a professional baseball career in the United States. He was selected to participate in the 2019 All-Star Futures Game. During the 2019 season, he achieved 30 home runs and 36 stolen bases, joining the 30/30 club. In August 2020, he posted a batting line of .298/.356/.660 with seven doubles, nine home runs, 20 RBIs, and three stolen bases across 26 games.
