Logan O'Hoppe Biography

Logan O'Hoppe, born February 9, 2000, is an American professional baseball catcher who has played in Major League Baseball. He has previously played in MLB for the Los Angeles Angels. Logan O'Hoppe grew up in West Islip, New York, and played high school baseball at St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School before choosing East Carolina University for his college career. O'Hoppe spent his first five professional seasons in the Phillies farm system, earning recognition as one of the team's top prospects. In August 2022, O'Hoppe was traded to the Angels and made his MLB debut the following month. During his senior year in 2018, O'Hoppe posted a .467 batting average with three home runs and 22 runs batted in across 21 games. The Philadelphia Phillies selected O'Hoppe in the 23rd round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft, choosing him 677th overall.
