LeRoy Butler III was born on July 19, 1968, and played his entire 12-year NFL career from 1990 to 2001 as a safety for the Green Bay Packers. He was honored with induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022. Despite facing a physical challenge, he excelled in high school football and was later recognized as one of the 33 best Florida High School football players of all time in 2007. During his 12 seasons with the Packers, Butler earned four first-team All-Pro selections. He recorded a sack in the Packers' Super Bowl XXXI victory over the New England Patriots and is credited with originating the Lambeau Leap touchdown celebration. He was coached by Rogers at Robert E. Lee High School from 1972 to 1988, where he played alongside future NFL star Edgar Bennett, and later at The Bolles School from 1989 to 2016, winning eight football State Championships. Butler played college football under head coach Bobby Bowden at Florida State University from 1986 to 1989.
