LeBron James Biography

LeBron James, born December 30, 1984, is an American professional basketball player who has played for the Philadelphia 76ers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James, he has appeared in 10 NBA Finals and won four championships, including eight consecutive appearances from 2011 to 2018. He has won four NBA MVP awards, four Finals MVP awards, the Rookie of the Year honor, three All-Star Game MVP awards, and the Olympics MVP in 2024. Selected first overall in the 2003 NBA draft, James made his professional debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers after a prep-to-pro career. He won Rookie of the Year and led Cleveland to its first NBA Finals appearance in 2007, also claiming the scoring title in 2008. With the Miami Heat, James won his first two NBA championships in 2012 and 2013, earning MVP and Finals MVP honors in both seasons. Before his draft eligibility, James attempted to enter the 2002 NBA draft but was unsuccessful in changing the league's draft rules.
