Larry Allen Biography

Larry Christopher Allen Jr. was born on November 27, 1971, and passed away on June 2, 2024, after a 14-season career as a guard in the NFL, primarily with the Dallas Cowboys. He was selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 1994 NFL draft after playing college football at Butte College and Sonoma State. Allen was recognized for his strength and speed, and has been ranked as the best offensive lineman of all-time by Fox Sports. He spent 12 seasons with the Cowboys, earning ten Pro Bowl selections and six first-team All-Pro honors. His final two seasons were with the San Francisco 49ers, where he received his 11th Pro Bowl selection. He was not academically eligible for NCAA Division I football, so he began his collegiate career at Butte College in Oroville, California. During his two years at Butte, the team posted a 10–1 record each season and won the Golden Valley Conference, with Allen named to the All-Conference and All-State teams both years.
