Kyle Busch Biography

Kyle Busch, born May 2, 1985, was an American professional stock car racing driver who competed from 2001 until his death on May 21, 2026. Kyle Busch drove the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2008 to 2022. Busch made his national NASCAR debut in 2001 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Roush Racing. At the time of his death, he ranked ninth on the all-time NASCAR Cup Series wins list and first in overall wins across the top three NASCAR divisions. Kyle Busch operated a team that competed in the Truck Series from 2010 to 2023 and in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series from 2011 to 2013. Busch was the younger brother of 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion Kurt Busch. He began his driving career in 1998, shortly after turning thirteen.
