Klay Alexander Thompson, born February 8, 1990, is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association. He spent 13 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, where he formed the "Splash Brothers" duo and became renowned as one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA history. Thompson earned four NBA championships, five All-Star selections, two All-NBA Third Team honors, and one All-Defensive Second Team recognition during his career. He captured gold medals with the United States national team in 2014 and again in 2016, contributing to international success. Klay Thompson was chosen 11th in the 2011 NBA draft by Golden State and joined the Warriors as a first-round selection. In 2014, he and Stephen Curry set a then-NBA record with 484 combined three-pointers, a mark they later surpassed with 525 and 678 in subsequent seasons. As a senior in high school, Thompson averaged 21 points per game, leading SMCHS to a 30–5 record and a Division III State Championship appearance.
