Kelsey Plum Biography

Kelsey Christine Plum, born on August 24, 1994, is an American professional basketball player who has played for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association and for the Phantom in Unrivaled. She has been named a five-time WNBA All-Star and earned the WNBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award in 2022. Plum has won gold medals with the United States in 3x3 basketball during the 2020 Games and in 5x5 basketball at the 2024 Olympics. Born in Poway, California, she attended La Jolla Country Day School and was recognized as a McDonald's All-American. During her senior year in college, she was honored as national player of the year and established the Division I single-season scoring record. She was selected first overall in the 2017 WNBA draft by the San Antonio Stars, a team that relocated in 2018 to become the Las Vegas Aces. Plum was named to the 2013 WBCA High School Coaches' All-America Team.
