Kane Biography

Glenn Thomas Jacobs, born April 26, 1967, is an American professional wrestler and politician who performs under the ring name Kane. He has competed in more matches in WWE history than any other performer, including dark matches and house shows. Jacobs began his professional wrestling career in 1992 on the independent circuit, later joining the World Wrestling Federation in 1995. After his WWF debut, he became a central figure during the company's Attitude Era, defeating Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship at King of the Ring in June 1998. Kane has held multiple world championships, including the WWF Championship, ECW Championship, and World Heavyweight Championship, and has won 12 world tag team titles. He holds several Royal Rumble records, including 20 appearances, 46 total eliminations, and the fastest elimination in 1.9 seconds, a record established during the 2015 Royal Rumble. The WWF began developing his character Kane in April 1997 as a horror-themed figure associated with fire and destruction.
