Justin Thomas, born April 29, 1993, is an American professional golfer who has competed on the PGA Tour and held the world number one ranking. In 2017, Thomas won five PGA Tour events and claimed the FedEx Cup championship. He played college golf at the University of Alabama, where he achieved first-place finishes six times for the Crimson Tide. Thomas turned professional in 2013, choosing to leave his final two years of college and earning his tour card via the Web.com Tour qualifying school. He finished fifth in the 2014 Web.com Tour regular season and third in the Web.com Tour Finals, securing his PGA Tour card for the 2015 season. In October 2016, Thomas successfully defended his title at the CIMB Classic, earning his second PGA Tour victory. During the third round of the 2017 U.S. Open at Erin Hills, Thomas matched the U.S. Open single-round record with a score of 63.
