Justin Jefferson Biography

Justin Jamal Jefferson, born on June 16, 1999, is an American professional football wide receiver who has played for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League. He played college football for the LSU Tigers and won the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship as a junior before being selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. Justin Jefferson has earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors in four of his first five seasons and holds the NFL record for most receiving yards in a player's initial five seasons. He played at LSU for three years under head coach Ed Orgeron, developing into a top collegiate receiver. After not recording a catch in his first year at LSU in 2017, he became the team's leading receiver in 2018 with 54 receptions for 875 yards and six touchdowns. In the 2019 season, he recorded nine receptions for 163 yards and three touchdowns in a 45–38 road victory against Texas. On January 15, 2020, he announced he would forgo his senior season to enter the NFL draft.
