Josh Allen Biography

Joshua Patrick Allen, born on May 21, 1996, is an American professional football quarterback who has played for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League. He is recognized as one of the greatest dual-threat quarterbacks in NFL history and holds the record for most quarterback rushing touchdowns in league history. Allen began his college football journey with the Reedley Tigers before transferring to the Wyoming Cowboys after being lightly recruited out of high school. He was selected seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL draft. In 2020, Allen led the Bills to their first division title and playoff victory since 1995, advancing to the AFC Championship Game. Despite an offer from San Diego State to walk on, Allen declined because the coach could not promise him playing time. Individually, Allen recorded 26 touchdown passes in 2014, placing him seventh among all California junior-college quarterbacks that year.
