Jordy Ray Nelson, born on May 31, 1985, played 11 seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver, primarily with the Green Bay Packers. Raised in Riley County, Kansas, he played college football for the Kansas State Wildcats and earned consensus All-American honors in 2007. Selected by the Packers in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft, he began his professional career with the team. As of September 2025, Nelson holds the Packers record for most Lambeau Leaps with 27. He also rushed for 1,572 yards, averaging 9.8 yards per carry with 25 touchdowns during his college career. Nelson played for Kansas State University from 2003 through 2005 under coach Bill Snyder. In 2004, he was initially set to play defensive back but was moved to wide receiver during spring practice.
