Johnny Manziel, born December 6, 1992, is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League for two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Nicknamed Johnny Football, he became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy while playing for the Texas A&M Aggies in 2012. After being redshirted in 2011, he became the Aggies' starter during his freshman season and set several FBS and SEC records before leading the team to a victory in the 2013 Cotton Bowl Classic. He was named SEC Male Athlete of the Year in 2013 following a standout collegiate season. After being drafted by the Browns in 2014, Manziel played in 2016 with a 2–6 record as a starter before being released. At Tivy High School, Manziel played high school football for four years, beginning with the freshman team in his first year. He was named to the NUC All World Game in 2010, where he rushed for over 100 yards and threw for over 200 in a single game.
