John Allen Hannah, born on April 4, 1951, played 13 seasons in the NFL as a guard for the New England Patriots. Nicknamed "Hog," he is widely regarded as one of the greatest offensive linemen in football history. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide and earned the Jacobs Blocking Trophy in 1972. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1991 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999, he solidified his legacy. Hannah graduated from Albertville High School in 1969 after playing his senior season of football there. He was part of an SEC championship-winning team during his college career. Selected fourth overall in the 1973 NFL draft, he joined the New England Patriots to begin his professional career.
