John Cena Biography

John Felix Anthony Cena was born on April 23, 1977, and is an American professional wrestler, actor, and former rapper. He has served as a brand ambassador for WWE since his transition from active competition. Cena competed in WWE for 24 years, achieving a record 17-time world championship victory. He captured the WWE Championship 14 times during his tenure in the promotion. His full-time career in WWE received mixed reception, with recognition for his in-ring character work and promotional abilities. In 1998, he relocated to California to train in professional wrestling at Ultimate Pro Wrestling's Ultimate University. Cena made his unofficial debut in the World Wrestling Federation on October 10, 2000, performing under the name the Prototype.
