Jeremiah Smith, born November 29, 2005, is an American college football wide receiver who has played for the Ohio State Buckeyes. As a freshman in 2024, Smith set the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) freshman receiving record and helped lead the Buckeyes to a national championship. Before transferring to Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School in Hollywood, Florida, Smith attended Miami Central Senior High School. During his senior season, Smith earned All-American honors and was named Player of the Year at the All-American Bowl. Smith was rated a five-star recruit and recognized as the top-ranked prospect in the 2024 college football recruiting class. At the 2026 Big Ten Media Days, Smith shared that his childhood dream was to play for Alabama under Nick Saban, though the school did not recruit him. On January 1, 2025, Smith recorded 7 receptions for 187 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns in a standout performance against the Oregon Ducks during the 2025 Rose Bowl.
