Jeffery Simmons Biography

Jeffery Bernard Simmons Jr. was born on July 28, 1997, and has played as a defensive tackle in the National Football League for the Tennessee Titans. He played college football at Mississippi State and was chosen by the Titans in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. After a standout high school career in Noxubee County, Mississippi, he committed to Mississippi State over major programs like Alabama and Ole Miss. In 2017, he recorded 60 tackles and earned a spot on the 2017 All-SEC football team with five sacks and multiple defensive plays. On December 20, 2018, he announced his decision to enter the 2019 NFL draft. On February 12, 2019, he suffered an ACL tear while preparing for the draft. Jeffery Simmons recorded a solo tackle during his postseason debut in the Wild Card Round against the New England Patriots, contributing to the team's 20–13 road victory.
