Jeffrey Jason Garcia, born on February 24, 1970, is an American former professional football player who played as a quarterback in the NFL and CFL. After high school and junior college in Gilroy, California, Garcia played college football for the San Jose State Spartans. Garcia began his professional career in 1994 with the CFL's Calgary Stampeders as an undrafted free agent. With the San Francisco 49ers, Garcia made three Pro Bowl appearances during the 2000, 2001, and 2002 seasons. After a limited 2003 season with San Francisco, Garcia played two losing seasons with the Cleveland Browns in 2004 and the Detroit Lions in 2005. Garcia led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the playoffs in 2007 and earned his fourth Pro Bowl selection that year. In 2011, Garcia signed with the Houston Texans but did not play a game with the team.
