Jaylen Marselles Brown, born October 24, 1996, plays professional basketball for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. He earned first-team all-conference and Freshman of the Year honors in the Pac-12 Conference during his lone college season. Declaring for the 2016 NBA draft after his freshman year, Brown was chosen third overall by the Boston Celtics. He has been named a five-time NBA All-Star, a two-time All-NBA selection, and reached the Eastern Conference finals six times. As a junior, he averaged 24.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, leading his team to a 29–5 record. Brown won a gold medal in the 2014 FIBA Americas Championship as a member of the USA Basketball Men's U18 National Team. Ranked a five-star recruit, he was rated the fourth best in the class of 2015 by Scout, ESPN, and 247Sports.
