Jake Plummer Biography

Jason Steven Jake Plummer was born on December 19, 1974, and played as a quarterback in the National Football League for 10 seasons. He played college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils after accepting a football scholarship to Arizona State University in Tempe. Plummer was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 1997 NFL draft and spent six seasons with the team before joining the Denver Broncos for four seasons. He graduated from Capital High School in 1993, where he was a three-sport athlete, passing for 6,097 yards and 68 touchdowns in his junior and senior years. Jake Plummer received a football scholarship to attend Arizona State University in Tempe. In 1998, the Cardinals drafted Plummer's friend Pat Tillman, and the two started all sixteen games, helping the team finish with a 9–7 record. Plummer had a disappointing season in 1999, going 3–8 as a starter with nine touchdowns and 24 interceptions, as the Cardinals finished 6–10.
