Isaac Bruce Biography

Isaac Bruce, born November 10, 1972, is an American former professional football player who played as a wide receiver in the National Football League. Isaac Bruce played college football for the West Los Angeles Wildcats, Santa Monica Corsairs, and Memphis Tigers before being chosen by the Los Angeles Rams in the second round of the 1994 NFL draft. Bruce accumulated 15,208 receiving yards over his career, ranking fifth all-time, and earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors multiple times. He initially signed a letter of intent to play college football for the Purdue Boilermakers in 1990, but his SAT scores prevented enrollment. After not enrolling at Purdue, he attended West Los Angeles College and Santa Monica College before transferring to Memphis State University to play with Russell Copeland. In his first season with Memphis in 1992, Bruce recorded 39 receptions for 532 yards and five touchdowns. He joined the Rams in St. Louis in 1995 after the team relocated from Los Angeles.
