Gunner Stockton Biography

Gunner Duvall Stockton, born April 6, 2004, is an American college football quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs in the Southeastern Conference. He was named after a great-grandfather, a World War II veteran who served in a plane and earned the nickname Gunner. As a freshman, Stockton secured the starting quarterback role and guided his team to a region championship and state playoff quarterfinals. After his freshman season, he was invited to the 2022 All-American Bowl and received offers from Alabama and Penn State. Prior to the 2020 season, he committed to play college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks over the Georgia Bulldogs. In 2023, he competed with Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff for a starting role, ultimately becoming the third-string quarterback. Entering the 2024 season, Stockton was listed as the backup quarterback behind Beck.
