Grayson Allen Biography

Grayson Allen, born October 8, 1995, is an American professional basketball player who has competed in the NBA. He played four years of college basketball at Duke University, contributing to the team's national championship victory in 2015. Drafted 21st overall in the 2018 NBA draft, Allen began his professional career with the Utah Jazz before joining the Memphis Grizzlies in 2019. In 2014, he was named a McDonald's All-American and previously won a state championship while playing high school basketball in Jacksonville, Florida. During his freshman year at Duke, Allen averaged 4.4 points per game and earned a spot on the ACC all-academic team. After a key game, commentators highlighted Allen as a major factor in Duke's victory. During the 2015–16 season, he averaged 21 points per game and shot 41% from three-point range while competing in the ACC.
