Grant Alden Wistrom, born on July 3, 1976, is an American former professional football player who played as a defensive end in the National Football League for nine seasons. Wistrom played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and earned two-time All-American honors. Selected in the first round of the 1998 NFL draft, he played in the NFL for the St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Wistrom led his high school team to two Class 4A state championships during his prep career. He attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he anchored the defensive line for the Cornhuskers from 1994 to 1997. In 1996, Wistrom was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and helped the team rank in the top 10 in all four major defensive categories. During his freshman year, he earned Big Eight Newcomer-of-the-Year honors and contributed to the Huskers winning their first national title since 1971.
