George Pickens Jr. was born on March 4, 2001, and is an American professional football wide receiver who has played for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs and helped the team win the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship as a junior. The Pittsburgh Steelers chose George Pickens in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. On November 16, 2018, he recorded five receptions for 202 yards during his high school career at Hoover. In his freshman year at Georgia in 2019, he led the team in receptions with 49, receiving yards with 727, and receiving touchdowns with 8. In the subsequent season, Pickens recorded 36 receptions for 513 yards and six touchdowns during an eight-game campaign impacted by the pandemic. In the spring of 2021, he tore his ACL, which caused him to miss most of his junior season at Georgia.
