Garrett Wilson, born on July 22, 2000, is an American professional football wide receiver for the New York Jets in the NFL. He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes and was selected 10th overall by the Jets in the 2022 NFL draft. Wilson earned the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award after a standout debut season. He attended Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas, where he won a 6A state championship in 2016 and set records with 204 receptions, 3,359 yards, and 55 touchdowns. As a true freshman at Ohio State in 2019, Wilson played in all 14 games and recorded 30 receptions for 432 yards and five touchdowns. On November 21, 2020, Wilson became the second player in school history to record four straight games with at least 100 yards receiving. He opted out of the 2022 Rose Bowl to focus on preparing for the 2022 NFL draft.
