Evan McPherson, born on July 21, 1999, is an American professional football placekicker who has played in the National Football League. He played college football for the Florida Gators and was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft. During the Bengals' 2021 playoff run, McPherson made 14 field goals, tying Adam Vinatieri for the most in a single postseason. McPherson earned the nickname 'Shooter' due to his clutch kicking and is also known as 'Money Mac' from his high school days in Fort Payne, Alabama. At Fort Payne High School, he made a 60-yard field goal and an 84-yard punt, both just one yard short of the Alabama high school record. At Florida, he achieved a career field goal percentage of 85.0% on 51-of-60 attempts, setting a Southeastern Conference record with a minimum of 50 attempts, and converted 149-of-150 extra points. McPherson made all three of his field goal attempts in a game, with the longest from 49 yards.
