Evan Michael Longoria, born October 7, 1985, played 16 seasons in Major League Baseball as a professional third baseman. He earned honors at Long Beach State, including the 2005 Cape Cod League MVP and 2006 Big West Conference Co-Player of the Year. Longoria received the 2008 American League Rookie of the Year award after a standout debut season. He reached the World Series with the Rays in 2008 and later with the Diamondbacks in 2023. The 15-year span between his World Series appearances is the longest in MLB history for a position player. He captured three Gold Glove Awards in 2009, 2010, and 2017 for his defensive excellence at third base. Longoria holds multiple Tampa Bay Rays franchise records, including career highs in home runs, runs batted in, and Wins Above Replacement.
