Edward Nathan George Jr. was born on September 24, 1973, and has served as a head coach in American football. He held the position of head coach at Tennessee State University from 2021 to 2024. George played college football for Ohio State University between 1992 and 1995. As a senior in 1995, he led Ohio State to the Florida Citrus Bowl and was awarded the Heisman Trophy. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and later into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. The Houston Oilers selected George in the first round with the 14th overall pick in the 1996 NFL draft. After his football career, he earned an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
