Dylan Larkin Biography

Dylan Larkin, born on July 30, 1996, is an American professional ice hockey player who has played as a center and has captained the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League. He was selected 15th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Before turning professional, Larkin played collegiate hockey for the University of Michigan, where he earned recognition as the Freshman of the Year. He played minor ice hockey with Detroit Belle Tire and participated in the 2009 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the team. During the 2012–13 season, Larkin competed for USA Hockey's U17 team as part of the National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor. He recorded three goals in four games while representing the United States at the 2013 U17 Five Nations Tournament held in Finland. Larkin began his collegiate career with the Michigan Wolverines during the 2014–15 season.
