Dexter Lawrence Biography

Dexter Lawrence II, born November 12, 1997, is an American professional football nose tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. Dexter Lawrence played his collegiate football with the Clemson Tigers before being chosen by the New York Giants in the 2019 NFL draft's first round. Lawrence played his entire high school football career at Wake Forest High School. During his high school career, he recorded 28.0 sacks, 204 tackles, 6 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. As the second-highest ranked recruit nationally, Lawrence became the top-rated player from North Carolina in history. He was named the 2016 ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year after a standout collegiate season. Dexter Lawrence played on the Clemson squad that won the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship with a 35–31 victory over Alabama.
