Devonta Smith Biography

Devonta Smith, born November 14, 1998, is an American professional football wide receiver who has played for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League. As a senior in 2020, he recorded 1,856 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns during his college career with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He won two national championships while at Alabama before being selected tenth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. In his fourth season with the Eagles, Smith won Super Bowl LIX, achieving the rare feat of winning a Super Bowl, a college national title, and the Heisman Trophy. As a true freshman in 2017, he had eight receptions for 160 yards and three touchdowns across eight games with Alabama. During the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, Smith made the game-winning 41-yard touchdown catch on second and 26 in overtime, securing a 26–23 victory over Georgia. Devonta Smith achieved six receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown during the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Orange Bowl, contributing to the 45–34 win over Oklahoma.
