Derrick Henry Biography

Derrick Lamar Henry Jr. born on January 4, 1994, is an American professional football running back who has played in the National Football League. Known as King Henry, he is recognized for his powerful playing style and larger physical frame compared to typical running backs. He is the only player to have achieved at least 2,000 rushing yards in a season at the high school, college, and professional levels. Henry was chosen by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft and later earned four Pro Bowl selections. After serving as a backup for most of his first two seasons, he became the Titans' primary running back near the end of the 2018 season. In 2020, he led the league in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, joining the elite group of players to surpass 2,000 rushing yards in a single season since 2009. After eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans, he joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2024 and set multiple franchise records during his first season with the team.
