Derrick Brown, born on April 15, 1998, is an American professional football defensive end who has played for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League. He played college football for the Auburn Tigers and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, later being selected by the Panthers in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. As a senior in high school, Brown was considered one of the top defensive tackles in the nation and committed to Auburn University on February 3, 2016, after being recruited by several major programs. During his junior year at Auburn, he earned second-team All-SEC honors with 48 tackles, 10.5 for a loss, and 4.5 sacks. During the Week 15 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, Derrick Brown achieved his first two career sacks on Aaron Rodgers in the 24–16 defeat. In Week 1 of the 2021 season, he registered his first sack of that year on Zach Wilson in a 19–14 victory over the New York Jets. In January 2024, he was named to the 2024 Pro Bowl Games as a replacement for Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
