James Dennis Alan Hamlin, born November 18, 1980, is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. Denny Hamlin drives the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE in the NASCAR Cup Series for Joe Gibbs Racing. Denny Hamlin has more NASCAR Cup Series victories than any driver without a championship title. Hamlin drew attention right from his 2006 rookie season, when he finished third overall and won Rookie of the Year. In 2004, Denny Hamlin drove for EJP Racing in five NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events, finishing tenth in his first race at IRP. In 2005, Denny Hamlin competed in all races of the Busch Series driving the No. 20 Chevrolet sponsored by Rockwell Automation following Mike Bliss's departure. In 2006, Denny Hamlin raced full-time in both the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and the Busch Series during his initial full season in the top division.
