DeAndre Rashaun Hopkins, born on June 6, 1992, is an American football coach and former professional wide receiver known by the nicknames DHop and Nuk. DeAndre Hopkins holds the role of assistant wide receivers coach with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Hopkins played college football for the Clemson Tigers and was chosen by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft. He has been named to five All-Pro teams and has earned five Pro Bowl selections during his professional career. During his high school career, he recorded 57 receptions for 1,266 yards and 18 touchdowns while also making 28 interceptions and scoring five defensive touchdowns. In his senior year of 2009–10, he led the Lions to their third South Carolina State Championship and was honored as the Independent Mail's player of the year. He attended Clemson University from 2010 to 2012, where he played for the Clemson Tigers under head coach Dabo Swinney.
