David Pastrnak Biography

David Pastrnak, born on 25 May 1996, is a Czech professional ice hockey player who serves as a right winger and alternate captain for the Boston Bruins in the NHL. Nicknamed "Pasta," he was chosen 25th overall in the 2014 NHL draft and debuted with the Bruins that same year. He has represented the Czech Republic at both junior and senior international levels, including multiple World Championships. During the 2011–12 season, he led the Czech under-18 league with 41 goals and 68 points. In the 2012–13 season, he relocated to Sweden to play for the junior team of Södertälje SK. He joined the Bruins’ training camp for the 2014–15 season before being assigned to their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, on 7 October 2014. In the 2019 playoffs, Pastrňák and the Bruins reached the Stanley Cup Finals, losing in seven games to the St. Louis Blues.
