David Cash Jr. was born on June 11, 1948, and is an American former professional baseball player and coach. He played in Major League Baseball as a second baseman from 1969 to 1980, including time with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Philadelphia Phillies. After his playing career, Cash served as a minor league hitting coach and manager for several major league organizations. In 1973, the Pirates traded Cash to the Phillies after Stennett became a regular and another young second baseman was in their system. After the 1976 season, Cash signed as a free agent with the Expos. In 2006, Cash was hired as first base coach for the Baltimore Orioles. In 2008, Cash joined the Sussex Skyhawks in the CAN-AM League as hitting coach.
