Davante Adams Biography

Davante Lavell Adams, born on December 24, 1992, is an American professional football wide receiver who has played in the National Football League. He played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs and earned second-team All-American honors in 2013 before being drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2014. Early in his time with the Packers, Adams was positioned behind teammates Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb on the depth chart. After earning his first Pro Bowl selection in 2017, Adams signed a four-year contract worth $58 million. For four seasons, Adams served as the primary wide receiver, working closely with quarterback Aaron Rodgers to lead the league in receiving touchdowns in 2020 and achieve personal bests in receptions and receiving yards in 2021. During his eight seasons with the Packers, Adams missed only 13 games, earned First-team All-Pro honors twice, and was selected to the Pro Bowl five times. When contract talks concluded without agreement in 2022, Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a first-round and second-round draft pick.
