Daunte Rachard Culpepper, born on January 28, 1977, played 11 seasons in the National Football League as a professional quarterback, primarily with the Minnesota Vikings. He played college football for the UCF Knights and won the Sammy Baugh Trophy in 1998 after leading the NCAA in completion percentage. Culpepper was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 1999 NFL draft. During his tenure with the Vikings, he led the team to two playoff appearances, one division title, and an NFC Championship Game, earning three Pro Bowl selections. In 2004, he set the single-season record for the most total yardage produced by an NFL quarterback. After his senior year in 1994, he was named Mr. Football in the state of Florida. In 2007, he was honored as one of the top 33 football players in Florida's 100-year history by the FHSAA All-Century Team.
