Dat Nguyen, born September 25, 1975, is an American former professional football player who played as a linebacker in the National Football League for seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies and earned unanimous All-American honors during his tenure. In 2017, Dat Nguyen was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in recognition of his collegiate achievements. He earned All-State honors as a punter during his high school career before committing to college football. Nguyen chose to attend Texas A&M University, deciding to play closer to home after high school. He played for the Texas A&M Aggies from 1995 to 1998, contributing significantly to the team’s defensive success. In 2010, he was voted onto the AP All-Time Big 12 Team, tying with Derrick Johnson for most votes at linebacker with 19 out of 20 selections.
