Daryl Johnston Biography

Daryl Peter Johnston, born on February 10, 1966, is an American sportscaster and former professional football fullback and executive. He played 11 seasons in the National Football League, all for the Dallas Cowboys, and was nicknamed Moose. Johnston played college football for the Syracuse Orange before his professional career. He was named Western New York Player of the Year in 1983 while playing high school football at Lewiston-Porter High School. Selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round with the 39th overall pick in the 1989 NFL draft, he began his professional career with the team. In 1993, he recorded 50 receptions and averaged 7.4 yards per catch. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in both 1993 and 1994.
