Darrelle Revis Biography

Darrelle Shavar Revis, born on July 14, 1985, played 11 seasons as a professional football cornerback in the NFL. Revis spent most of his career with the New York Jets and is recognized as one of the top cornerbacks in NFL history. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers and was drafted by the Jets in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft. During his senior year of high school, Revis averaged 25.2 points per game while leading Aliquippa to WPIAL basketball championships. In track and field, Revis competed on the Quips' WPIAL Class AA 4 × 100 metres relay team that placed third at the state level. Revis recorded 49 tackles, 12 broken-up passes, and 14 defended passes in a single season. Revis's performance during his sophomore year in 2005 continued to demonstrate his effectiveness on the field.
