Danny Amendola Biography

Daniel James Amendola, born November 2, 1985, is an American former professional football player who played as a wide receiver in the National Football League. After playing college football at Texas Tech, he joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2008 as an undrafted free agent. After spending his entire rookie season on the Cowboys' practice squad, Amendola was later signed by the St. Louis Rams following time on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad in 2009. In 2023, Amendola began a coaching role as an assistant/returners coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. He attended The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas, where he played football under coach Weldon Willig. During the 2004 season, Amendola caught 13 passes, including a touchdown pass in a game against the Baylor Bears. In the 2005 season, Amendola made two memorable plays that contributed to Red Raider victories.
