Rayne Dakota Prescott, born July 29, 1993, is an American professional football quarterback who has played in the National Football League. He played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and earned first-team All-SEC honors on two occasions. Prescott was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. He has led the Dallas Cowboys to four division titles and earned four Pro Bowl selections along with one second-team All-Pro honor. Prescott ranks seventh in NFL history among quarterbacks with at least 1,500 pass attempts for completion percentage and eighth in career regular season passer rating. He served as a backup to Russell in 2013 before becoming the starter after Russell’s concussion. In his first full season as starter in 2014, he guided the Bulldogs to a 10–2 record, a first-ever #1 national ranking, and a berth in the Orange Bowl.
