Curtis Samuel Biography

Curtis Samuel, born on August 11, 1996, is an American professional football player who has played as a wide receiver and kickoff returner. He played college football at Ohio State, where he helped win the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship and earned All-American recognition in 2016. Samuel was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft and has since played for the Panthers, Washington Commanders, and joined the Buffalo Bills in 2024. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and played high school football at Erasmus Hall, where he served as a running back and also competed in track. As a junior in high school, he averaged 11.5 yards per carry while rushing for 1,047 yards and 13 touchdowns. In his senior year, he averaged 15.8 yards per rush, accumulating 1,461 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. A 4-star recruit, he committed to Ohio State to play college football, where he established a strong foundation for his professional career.
