Cooper DeJean Biography

Cooper Michael DeJean, born on February 9, 2003, is an American professional football cornerback who has played for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League. He earned unanimous All-American recognition during his 2023 college season while playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft, DeJean contributed to the Eagles’ victory in Super Bowl LIX as a rookie. In a game against Wisconsin, he recorded 10 tackles, returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown, and returned four punts for 82 yards. He was named MVP of the 2022 Music City Bowl after making 7 tackles, returning an interception 14 yards for a touchdown, and returning three punts for 42 yards. DeJean played a key role in Iowa’s success during the 2023 season. The Super Bowl LIX game occurred on his 22nd birthday, making him the first player since Steve Van Buren in 1947 to score a touchdown in a championship game on his birthday.
