Christian Gonzalez Biography

Christian Emilio Gonzalez, born on June 28, 2002, is an American professional football cornerback who has played for the New England Patriots in the National Football League. Gonzalez has played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes and later transferred to the Oregon Ducks before being selected by the Patriots in the 2023 NFL draft. He is the younger brother of Colombian American hurdler Melissa Gonzalez and is married to the sister of NFL coach David Blough. Gonzalez originally committed to Purdue University before enrolling at the University of Colorado to begin his college football career. He transitioned to a full-time cornerback role when he joined the Colorado Buffaloes football team in 2021. Gonzalez transferred to the University of Oregon in 2022 to continue his collegiate football career with the Oregon Ducks. Dane Brugler of the Athletic ranked Christian Gonzalez as the top cornerback available in the NFL draft.
